Entries for the WinglessDreamer International Poetry Prize 2020 are now open. Winning and commended poems will also be published in a competition anthology.
RULES & HOW TO ENTER

The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over.

Entries may be submitted via submittable or via email editor@winglessdreamer.com along with PayPal receipt of $5 at https://www.paypal.me/winglessdreamer

Poems may be on any subject and in any form or style.

They must be typed and not longer than 20 lines (excluding title).

Poems should be in English, must be the entrant’s own work and should not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere (including online), should not have won another poetry competition, or be the translated work of another poet.

Closing date: midnight on 31st October 2020. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

One poet can submit only one poem.

All poems are judged anonymously and should not bear your name, or any other form of identification.

Our judge will read all entries.

No changes can be made to a poem once it has been submitted.

The decision of the judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

WinglessDreamer Poetry Festival Trustees, employees or associates, or members of their families, may not enter.

The winners will be contacted by email or post in the month of December 2020 on our website and on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).

How long is your process?
It takes over 1-2 months to publish a full collection of poetry in book form to include time for authors to work with our editors, and for the process of graphic design, illustrations, book cover, and layout. COVID-19 may cause delays in the publishing process but our team is trying their level best.

On what platforms the book will get published? The book will get published on Amazon.com and on our website Winglessdreamer.com. Kindly, note that only the winner will get a free complimentary copy. For more information please write to us at sales@winglessdreamer.com

Please note that submission fees of a minimum amount of USD$5 allow us to offer the winning honorarium and also to offset the cost of publishing and promoting the winning collection. Wingless Dreamer works to supporting the publication of excellent poetry, flash fiction, and short stories collection and supporting our mission to bring the highest quality literature into the world. The Wingless Dreamer International Poetry Contest (2020) examined poetry from all over the world. People have unique geographic perspectives. Where you live forms the way you see the rest of the world.

This contest celebrates diversity in a great way. But, having said that, there is a common thread that all of us share. As human beings, we are in many ways the same. In fact, we are much more alike than we are different. We all want to live and love. We want to be healthy and happy. We want the best for each other. When something hurts one of us, it hurts all of us. We strive to be the best we can be, not just for ourselves but for everyone regardless of where we are from.

After months of searching for the best talent that the world can offer, Wingless Dreamer has chosen a poem that reaches us all no matter where we live.
