In the Language of Flowers Writing Contest

Wow! What a wonderful time well spent this March in 2026 judging, editing, compiling, and publishing a poetry anthology which is all about nothing but flowers. What a poet’s delight! Who would have thought that flowers can be personified and teach us so many things about humanity, emotions, and bring cheer to life.

The sole purpose of flowers is to make us stay in the present and let us witness how our life is unfolding right in front of us for every step we take, the life decisions we make, and our actions and reflexes. We flinch when we are scared, we puff out our chests when we are confident, we hide when we are anxious, and we smile when we are at peace just like flowers.

In this poetry and short story collection, In the Language of Flowers, we are trying to celebrate spring of 2026 and let not the ongoing events around the world affect our sense of love. I guess we all can take a break and indulge ourselves in the peacefulness of loving verses and thought- provoking works. Today, we celebrate the art of poetry and the joy of being a writer.
