Well, here I am once again. I wasn’t sure whether to make this video or not. It may not be exactly as I originally intended because I was simultaneously working on at new bookshop and forgot to include some footage from there. Regardless, everything I share in this video is so emotionally raw. Jeez! In all honesty, I was afraid of criticism. These days, people are often quick to judge and attack without knowing what is happening behind the scenes. The truth is, we are all fighting battles that others cannot see. As the proverb goes, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” I think we all need to show a little more compassion—not only toward each other, but also toward ourselves. So I decided, why not make a video about my boring editorial life? At least for me, it is an interesting story because I fought my way toward pursuing English Literature. I walked away from a background in engineering and business analytics to follow a path in the creative realm. It was not an easy decision going against society and mainly family, but it was the right one for my soul. I love writing. I am obsessed with it. I worship classic English. Poetry, especially, feels like a language my soul understands. I believe emotions deserve to be heard. In today’s commercialized and discounted world, where materialism and artificiality often prevail, I think people like us need to step forward. We should create awareness and encourage granularity by showing our unfiltered emotions. Through our creative expressions, we can remind others that originality and authenticity are phenomenal virtues. Being true to yourself gives you strength, self-validation, and, most importantly, a purpose. It gives meaning to life. By sharing this raw and imperfect video, I was simply trying to do the same. I hope you enjoy it. And before I go, I want to say this: Stick to your goals. I know there is a lot at stake. I know it is incredibly hard. It's extremely lonely. Trust me, I understand. But try to celebrate the journey every once in a while because this is what you wanted in the first place. Guard your Dreams at all costs. Guard your mindset, your heart, your health, and your soul from this often cruel world. One of the best ways to do that is to immerse yourself in reading and writing and to find a community that understands you. I have always tried, within my capacity, to uplift writers and give them a platform to share their voices. So hit that submit button. Trust your instincts. Have faith in yourself. You are far more capable than you think, and your story deserves to be told.
