COLIN FULLARTON – A HENPECKED COUNTRY LASSIE

Colin is from East Kilbride who study an apprentice joiner at Cambuslang College. He is self-employed and passionate about writing poems in his spare time. He loves traveling and currently lives in Cathcart along with her Siamese cat and a year old retriever pup.

SARA LANDIS – KING ARTHUR REMEMBERED

The author, Sara Landis, is an award-winning poet who resides in rural Oklahoma. Her hobbies are attempting to befriend squirrels, and inventing peculiar pickle recipes.

The second runner-up is:

PEI WEN – UNPARALLELED

Pei Wen grew up in Taiwan and is based in Singapore. When she is not writing, she can be found watching Chinese dramas or reading ancient Chinese poetry.

CHARLIE R. NORTH – BATTERED SECRETS

Charlie R. North grew up in a small town in Montana, where she realized her affinity for poetry. Charlie has since planted her roots in Iowa where she, and her spouse, raise their family. A recent university graduate, she plans to complement her bachelor’s degree in English with a master’s in literature. Her poetic imagery plays on a reader’s emotion, and ambiguous interpretations leave audiences captivated, empathetic, and wanting more.

JOHN DUKES – THE EYES OF RAVENNA

John Dukes lives in rural Pennsylvania with his wife and children. In addition to writing, studying philosophy, history, and theology he is filled with great affection for poetry. His greatest interest lies in reading translations of 18th and 19th-century German poets such as Goethe and Hölderlin as well as 20th-century figures like Borges, Pound, and Rilke. John has held a variety of jobs over the years and has been blessed to live in places as diverse as Alaska, California, South Carolina, and Italy.

MARTHA PATTERSON – YOUR BREATH WAS SOFT

Martha Patterson’s work has been published by Smith & Kraus, Applause Books, the Sheepshead Review, Silver Birch Press, Pioneer Drama Service, Syndrome Magazine, and others. She has degrees from Mt. Holyoke College and Emerson College and lives in Boston, Massachusetts. She loves being surrounded by her books, radio, and laptop.

BRIAN YAPKO – THE SAILOR’S WIFE

Brian Yapko is a lawyer whose poems have appeared in multiple publications, including Prometheus Dreaming, Cagibi, Poetica, Grand Little Things, the Society of Classical Poets, Chained Muse, Tempered Runes, Garfield Lake Review, Sparks of Calliope, Abstract Elephant, and others. His first novel, “El Nuevo Mundo,” will be published in Summer, 2022 by Rebel Satori Press. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with his husband, Jerry, and their canine child, Bianca.

FARRAH MACCI – COURTLEY SELF-LOVE

Farrah Macci is a Florida-based mixed-media artist, behavioral health technician, and psychology undergrad from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her goals as an artist and writer are to capture the beauty in the mundane, render the human experience through her creative expressions, and inspire others by inviting them to question themselves and critique the world around them in order to ignite collective growth.

MARIAM AHMED – MISTER-Y VEIL

Mariam Ahmed is a Californian poet who grew up in Folsom, CA, and received her bachelor’s degree in English Literature at UC Davis. She writes micro-poetry and dabbles in surrealist fiction. Mariam is currently pursuing her MFA in poetry at San Diego State University. Recently, she’s had a poetry collection published by the literary journal “The Offending Adam.” Mariam also has poems published in two issues of “Maintenant: A Journal of Contemporary Dada Art and Writing” by Three Rooms Press.
